PRICING POLICY

We understand that confusion may arise between the pricing on our online store and main store. This is the online store for Simply Music, Huntingdon. Generally speaking, products are cheaper to purchase online (although not always the case), so please do not assume that the price will be matched in store or over the phone from Simply Music.

SimplyMusic-online.co.uk was set upto compete with online companies. With this in mind, we decided to offer a straight forward and efficent service for people who were happy to buy online, or who already have a clear idea of what they require.

The Huntingdon store offers a different level of service, allowing customers to come and browse an extensive range of musical instruments and equipment in one of our departments within the store.

This service includes one-on-one product advice with experienced musicians, a huge range of demo stock for you to try, finance options, a direct point of contact, and a chance for you to make a more informed choice. This all incurs more overheads, hence the difference in prices online and in store.

If you know what you want or are happy to browse online, then buying directly from this site will save you money, If however, you require some advice or would like a demo several different instuments before you buy, then visiting the store will be a better option and we feel the small difference in price is justified if you end up with the right product.

Payment

Payment must be received in full before any goods can be dispatched.

Delivery

Responsibility for ownership of the goods passes to purchaser once we have delivered them.

We can only deliver goods to the same address to which the credit/debit card used to pay for the goods is registered, except in cases where payment has been made by cheque, postal order or bankers draft, and the funds have cleared fully against our account. There are NO exceptions to this rule.

Unless otherwise advised, delivery will be made by a fully-insured courier service, within normal business hours. A signature at this address will be required.

The charge for delivery will be shown at the final checkout stage before final submission. The charge for a guitar and similar size products is set at £10.00. A drum kit will be £25.00. Unfortunately Simply Music cannot guarantee delivery times or dates. The delivery charge shown is a standard charge and does not constitute a guarantee of delivery date from the time you have placed an order.

All delivery times and dates are subject to stock availability and backlog. If the item is not in stock at the time of placing your order, we will contact you by email with an expexted delivery date. If this is not acceptable then we will refund your payment if it has already gone through our system. We make every effort to ensure products shown are in stock. We will not take your money against a back order without your express permission Unfortunately Simply Music can in no circumstances compensate for delayed orders due to cicumstances beyond our control. Damages/shortages must be notified within 3 working days of delivery.

Our contract

When you place an order to purchase a product from Simply Music, we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your order and containing the details of your order. Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product which is accepted by us when we send e-mail confirmation to you that we've dispatched that product to you (the "Dispatch Confirmation E-mail"). That acceptance will be complete at the time we send the Dispatch Confirmation E-mail to you. Any products on the same order which we have not confirmed in a Dispatch Confirmation E-mail to have been dispatched do not form part of that contract.

Cancellation procedure

You are free to cancel any order before payment has been taken free of charge.

Cancellation requests must be sent to simplymusic@talk21.com. 

Any transportation costs for cancelled orders must be paid by the purchaser, except in instances where the goods supplied are faulty, have been supplied in error, or mis-described by the seller. We can arrange collection of a cancelled order on behalf of the purchaser, and a collection charge will be confirmed when the collection is arranged.

Orders cannot be cancelled where the goods have been altered by the purchaser in any way from the original condition.

In accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations, any goods can be returned for any reason within 7 working days for a refund, less carriage costs. Returned goods must be in their original condition and packaging. If you decide that you do not wish to keep an item you can either return it to us yourself, or contact us and we will arrange collection. The average cost for a collection is £15.

 
Returns and Refunds

Refunds can only be made by the method originally used to pay for the goods. Credit/debit card refunds will be processed immediately and normally take 3-5 working days to show on the customer's account.

Goods that have been altered from their original condition in any way cannot be returned.

Goods cannot be returned as faulty where a specific defect in the product was brought to the attention of the customer at the point of sale.

Faulty Goods
Faulty goods, where the fault is due to manufacturing defect, will be exchanged or refunded where possible within the first 30 days of purchase. After that time and for the remainder of the warranty period, faulty goods must be returned to Simply Music and will be repaired and returned to the customer. If the original packaging has been retained then Simply Music can offer a free collection service for faulty goods that need to be returned. If you do not keep the original packaging then it is the customers responsibility to package and return the goods to Simply Music at their own cost & liability. Once repaired, goods will be returned to the customers UK address at no charge. Persistently faulty goods may be exchanged or refunded at the Manager's discretion. Faults due to misuse are not covered by any warranty.

Orders for software products or hardware that includes software as part of the package, cannot be refunded once the software has been opened.

Guarantee

Warranties
New items come with a minimum 12 month warranty against manufacturer defect. Some manufacturers offer extended warranties - details of these extended warranties will come with the product & you may be required to register the product direct with the manufacturer in order for the extended warranty period to apply. Second-hand items come with a 3 month parts & labour warranty

Damaged Goods

Damaged goods must be reported to Simply Music within 48 hours of purchase/delivery of the goods. If the package appears to be damaged on delivery, please write the word "Damaged" when you are asked to sign for the delivery.
